 Ron’s experience and expertise spans over 23 years and exceeds more than a half a billion dollars of successful constructionprojects. Unlike many in today’s industry, Ron’s construction career began “hands on” and “pouches on” when he learned the framing trade from his older brother Mike.  His skill and determination soon took him on to superintendent roles and gave him the ability to contract small jobs on his own. Ron’s curiosity for building large commercial projects took hold and led him back to finishing college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management at Missouri State University.  His commercial construction break came soon after landing a job as a project estimator with Killian Construction, which is now the Killian Group of companies.  Since then Ron has never looked back and has successfully completed multiple commercial projects from general office use to tier one hospitality and conference complexes.
When asked which one was his favorite, it didn’t take long for the reply, “Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center!  This hotel is nicknamed the Times Square of the Desert,” stated Ron.  This Four Diamond, twelve story, 320 room hotel has over 350,000 sq ft and is constructed of post-tension concrete floors.  It has a multi-level first floor atrium, an indoor spa, lap pool, an outdoor pool, luxury suites, a courtyard restaurant with an outdoor terrace.  Adjacent to the hotel is the 80,000 sq ft Conference Center and the state-of-the-art 65,000 sq ft Media Center.  The Media Center is home to Glendale’s local access TV station and provides studios, offices, and special event space to be utilized by the national media during Super Bowl 42, National Championship games, and the Fiesta Bowl.  The 940 spot parking garage features Precast T’s, architectural wall panels that feature patterns and an adobe color which are truly representative of the Southwest.  “This was definitely the benchmark project of my career so far,” commented Ron.
